Do you work in a health-related business or department? Do your staff need their mandatory basic life support training? Then this is the course for you and your team.

This outstanding half-day basic life support course is delivered by highly experienced DREEAM educators, all of whom are Resuscitation Council approved instructors.  Their expertise ensures participants receive top-quality training, equipping them with the essential skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations. This course will cover all your annual, mandatory training requirements for basic life support.  “Mandatory training is compulsory training that is determined essential by an organisation for the safe and efficient delivery of services.  This type of training is designed to reduce organisational risks and comply with local and national policies and government guidelines” (Royal College of Nursing, 2025). Basic life support is a vital skill for all health-related professionals, being able to identify a cardio-respiratory arrest, start early cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and deliver a safe, defibrillator shock can be the difference between life and death and early CPR and defibrillation has been identified by NHS England (2017) as two of the most important factors that affect survival rates.  CPR is delivered to approximately 30,000 people each year that experience a cardiac arrest in a community setting (NHS England, 2017) and less that one in twelve patients survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest (Resuscitation Council, 2025).  By attending our basic life support course, your staff will be confident and competent to manage a cardiac arrest situation, giving your patients the best chance of survival.
